Your Prerequisite Programs are up and running. HACCP Plans are in place. Records are being completed. So how do you know if everyone and everything is working the way it is supposed to be working? Through effective internal auditing. The internal audit is used to determine whether your food safety program is being implemented as written, to verify that your HACCP plans continue to be effective, to identify deficiencies in your programs and also can assist in working towards continuous improvement. Often times system failures occur due to a lack of formal, properly documented internal system audits. Therefore it is crucial to establish an effective internal audit system conducted by properly trained personnel.
This one-day course will help you:
- Understand the linkage between GMPs, HACCP, SQF and Auditing
- Learn techniques in planning, executing, reporting and following up of audits
- Develop an audit checklist and addressing Corrective Action Requests
- Learn how to effectively audit a HACCP Plan
- Understand how auditing can be used as a tool for corrective actions
We will also cover what types of audits can be used, how to objectively rate observations and what are some important characteristics of an effective auditor.
By attending this interactive Internal Auditing training session it will assist your facility in fulfilling the internal auditing requirements found in many of the GFSI standard schemes. A “Certificate of Completion” will be issued to all participants in attendance.
